How much does a humanoid robot cost? Prices and what determines them

    Umotion B.V. · · 3 min read

    Unitree R1 Platform

A starting price is a starting point

The cost of a humanoid robot depends on the model and version you select. Umotion’s product pages list starting prices for the Unitree R1, G1 and H2 Plus. These amounts exclude VAT and refer to entry configurations for consumer use or marketing purposes. They are not prices for industrial applications. A starting price helps you explore the models, but does not automatically describe a complete solution for your workflow. The task, configuration, accessories and optional additions determine that solution. The same approved starting prices shown on the product pages are listed below.

G1: base platform and EDU versions

The Unitree G1 is a compact humanoid for development, research and education. The product data distinguishes G1 from G1 EDU: degrees of freedom, maximum joint torque and arm load differ by version. The configuration list includes several EDU levels, with options for additional computing power and secondary development. Hands and extra joint modules also depend on the configuration. It is therefore important not to confuse a base price with the price of a selected EDU package. The G1 page describes which versions and options can support your intended software, movements or research task.

R1 and H2 Plus have their own configurations

For R1 and H2 Plus, the model name alone does not define the package you receive. The R1 family includes several versions, including EDU and dual-arm configurations. Its product page describes development, handling and available platform configurations. H2 Plus includes Smart and Ultimate versions with different computing modules and hand configurations. These differences matter when considering a demonstration, development project or handling application. Compare the configuration list on the relevant page rather than only the entry amount. The version needs to match the task and the development capabilities you require.

Accessories and options define the package

The Unitree range includes robot hands, robot arms, computing modules, batteries and chargers alongside robots. Product pages show which technologies and options are offered for each family. A hand for fine manipulation serves a different role from an additional computing module for local robot AI. Your choice depends on what you want to develop or perform with the platform. An option listed on a page is not automatically included in the starting price. Check the chosen version and discuss additions with Umotion, keeping the components of your requested configuration clear.

    From robot to application

Umotion starts with the use case: what is the situation, what task should be performed and which platform fits it? Existing services include advice, integration, training and service. Purchasing hardware is therefore distinct from developing your application. For an industrial configuration, request a quote covering the desired package and support. A consumer or marketing entry price must not be read as the complete project amount. Describe your process and preferred robot in the contact form so that the enquiry concerns the right model and its associated options.

    Compare the right version

Use the product pages to compare R1, G1 and H2 Plus by applications, specifications and versions. Review available accessories and development information as well. Specifications are indicative and can depend on configuration and manufacturer updates, as the model overview also notes. In a quote request, identify the model, version and additions you mean. This avoids comparing a base platform with a more extensive development package. Starting prices remain a clear point of reference, subject to the same terms below as on the product pages, without suggesting an industrial price.

    Frequently asked questions

No. The application, version, accessories and desired integration determine the package. A platform description does not replace developing the task for your location.

No. Versions, accessories, computing modules and other options depend on configuration. Product pages describe available packages; the desired configuration is discussed when enquiring.
